Fishponds Sale Trail to return
ORGANISERS of a sale that brought crowds on to Fishponds' streets this summer are returning with another event next month.
The Fishponds Sale Trail in July saw more than 80 street stalls set up across the area, raised £600 for foodbank charity the Trussell Trust and Fishponds food bank, despite a series of downpours on the day.
The next sale trail, which will take place on Saturday October 3, from 11am to 3pm, aims to build on that success by adding a farmer's market in the grounds of All Saints Church in Grove Road to the selection of clothes, art and second-hand items on sale during the first event.
Nikki Watten, from organisers FishFest, said: "We already have Nom Wholefoods and Fishponds Plants, along with a refreshment stall and cake in the Church grounds.
"Again, we are counting on the good people of Fishponds to come out with stalls in their front gardens."
People can set up stalls free outside their homes or hire a table at All Saints for food and plant sales for £10.
Kate Brooks of FishFest will be collecting donations for the Trussell Trust and Fishponds food bank at 53 Grove Road and stall holders are being encouraged to make a small donation to the food bank.
Sellers need to register by September 24 and forms can be found online at bit.ly/2EMYNds or by visiting the FishFest Facebook page.
