Man injured in Fishponds machete attack
A MAN was taken to hospital with injuries to his arm after being attacked in a Fishponds street.
Police believe the assailants used a machete in the attack, which happened at about 4.20pm on Friday, December 18 in Homefield Drive, off Manor Road.
The victim, who is in his 40s, was taken to hospital by ambulance for treatment to his injury. He has since been discharged.
Avon and Somerset police say the attackers were two men who were dressed in black.
The man with the blade was about 6ft tall, slim and was carrying a shoulder bag.
The other man was about 5ft 9in tall.
A police spokesperson said: "Officers have carried out house-to-house enquiries and are stepping up patrols in the local area.
"They are keen to hear from anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information that could assist their enquiry."
