Man taken to hospital after stabbing in Staple Hill
A MAN has been taken to hospital after being stabbed in Staple Hill.
The injured man, who is in his 20s, was found by police and paramedics called to the High Street, close to the Acacia Road junction, at around 10.10pm yesterday.
An Avon and Somerset police spokesperson said: "He was taken to hospital where he remains. His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"An 18-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of affray and is in police custody."
Police remained in the area carrying out investigations this morning, with residents reporting police cars, a scientific investigations van and an area of the road covered over at the Acacia Road junction (pictured above).
The area had been cleared by late morning.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the incident to come forward.
